Our tabs are unique to Ubuntu. You use them to switch between views of equal importance.

Tabs are always carried in the header of an app. Both tapping on and swiping over this header provides quick access to your app’s views. If the quantity of tabs extend beyond screen width, the header scrolls.

There is no restriction to the number of tabs that can be placed in the header but it is
good practice to maintain simple navigation structures that the user can easily grasp.

Ensure your tab title fits the screen, and remember it might need to be translated too.
